Lisa Cay Miller (Canada) has been visiting Amsterdam regularly since 2010. Beginning with her first visit, Miller began forming connections with the vibrant musicians in the community. This recording documents her work with some of the greatest improvisers of Amsterdam’s vibrant improvisation scene, an international list of award winning musicians dedicated to the art of living in the moment.

Every hour two new musicians would arrive to record concise duos and trios with Miller. Intense and diverse improvisations resulted— fierce miniatures with uncompromising focus upon timbre, texture, instrumental color, form and function, creating brilliant abstraction with passionate expression.
